The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet Summary
The story of Romeo and Juliet was written by William Shakespeare. Romeo and Juliet is based on a story that appeared in Italy many years ago. The story of Romeo and Juliet is basically your love and tragedy story.
The story is about a young man named Romeo and a young lady named Juliet who are in love each other and want to be together but there families wouldnt approve of it. The two lovers love begins to grow very strong and fast. Romeo and Juliet wanted to be married and they did get married but Romeo became banished from the city. Romeo was banished from the city for the death of Tybalt. Romeo killed Tybalt because Tybalt killed Romeos friend Mercutio during a sword fight. As the story progress Juliet teams up with the Friar and they come up with a plan. Friar gives Juliet this potion that will put her in a deep sleep to make her seem as if she is dead. Juliet takes the potion and everyone thinks she is dead. The Friar sends a messenger to inform Romeo about the plan but the messenger doesnt reach Romeo in time. When Romeo returns to the city his servant Balthasar tells him that Juliet is dead. After Romeo gets the word that his love is dead he goes to buy poison. When Romeo reaches the tomb where Juliet is Romeo sees Juliet lying there very peacefully like she is really dead. So Romeo drinks the poison because he doesnt want to live without Juliet. Then a few minutes later Juliet wakes only to see that Romeo is dead. So Juliet takes the dagger from Romeos belt and stabs herself in the chest. There the two lover’s lie together peacefully sleeping forever and always.
